GoPro Fusion Review

I’ve made a post on the forum and it’s not pretty, I like the hardware, it’s excellent. Unfortunately the software is a disaster. The camera has been available for over 2 years now, and gopro has done nothing to improve the situation, and they’re preparing a new 360 camera for launch. Unless they launch a new app for editing 360 videos that’s as good as the Insta360 One X app, then I can see this being a disaster for Gopro, and rumour is that they’re struggling to stay afloat.

This video shows how easy is is to use the Insta350 Studio to edit and reframe a 360 video. Sadly the Fusion requires three different types of software to acheive the same thing.

1. Gopro Fusion Studio to stitch the 2 cameras together (even on my beast AMD Ryzen 2700x, 16GB RAM and all SSD drives it takes hours and hours and hours just to stitch them.

2. Corel Paintsop Pro 2019 for Tiny Planet photos. £55

3. Adobe Premier for the video, keyframing and reframing the views. £20 per month for as long as you’ll use it.

The insta360 Studio does all this in the app that comes with the camera and for free.
