Cycling tips

These are all good points, be seen, use lights and hi-vis clothing, ride sensibly etc… but the fact that so many riders don’t give a shit about other road users shows why cyclists are hated.

My advice, never ever pass a HGV on the left, I have a class one licence and I’ve seen it so many times and nearly hit a few riders myself, the left hand side is called “The Blind Side” for a damn good reason, you can’t see shit in a car, bus and expecially a HGV… so don’t do it unless you want to die.

Lastly, ride a bike like you drive a car, don’t filter or filter as little as possible, don’t ride on the pavement, don’t be selfish, and you should be around for many more years.

About The Bionic Cyclist

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
