My Cycling Accessories

Posted on 11th August 2017 by The Bionic Cyclist

I have a multitude of extras on my bike, lights, camera’s, gel seats and more, so here is a complete list of all my accessories that I couldn’t live without.

  1. Gel seat cover – Ebay
  2. suspension seat post (must be 31.6mm)- Amazon
  3. Lezyne Superdrive front light – Halfords my review here.
  4. Cateye Rapid rear light – Halfords
  5. Water bottle – Halfords The cage I got from Asda but it’s not listed on asda.com, it’s a velkro tied cage and it fits on the top strut on the frame, no bottle cases boss’s needed.
  6. Ion Air pro – Wireless Camera originally bought from currys, found on Amazon
  7. Rear Camera – Gopro Hero 1 From Halfords, now found on amazon
  8. Front and Rear Mudguards – Bought from asda and not available on Asda.com

Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

    Hi,

I’m just doing you a line to say thank you for the time and effort you’ve put into you reviews / YouTube videos. I’ve just taken delivery of one of these bikes this morning thanks largely to your inspiration.

So thank you, as a similarly afflicted (over weight, long term smoker etc.) I hope I have as much success with it as you have!

    Christopher

Thank you for taking the time to contact me Christopher, I hope you really enjoy riding as much as I do, and keep at it IT WILL get easier over time.
A book I can recommend for help quitting smoking is Allen Carr’s Easy Way (not the comedian BTW).

If you have any questions, comment or any feedback at all, then please drop back and get in touch.

Hi, well a couple of weeks in and I’m having a whale of a time with it. I’ve done about 120 miles and seem to have just got over the initial pain of getting back on to a saddle.

I think in one of your videos you mention you’ve put puncture proof tyres on. Is that right? If so, could you let me have the details please?

        Thanks

        Christopher.

Hey again Christopher, I’m not sure if they’re completely puncture proof, but not far off according to Halfords.
          http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-parts/bike-tyres/schwalbe-marathon-plus-bike-tyre-700x38c

They are Schwalbe Marathon Plus 700x38c
400 miles and no complaints from me.

I’m glad you’re getting the hang of it again and enjoying it too! 🙂

I see you have a kick down side stand on your bike. It looks like the one I am searching for but cant find. Any clues?

Hey Jaimz, I got mine for free from Halfords.
The original broke and I needed my brakes servicing, so I took it in and they did a poor job of fixing the brakes. So I complained and they replaced the kickstand for free AND did an awesome job on my brakes.
